Development table of Kutani kilns
The development of the Kutani kilns shows two periods : The Suizaka and the Ko-Kutani era (1655 - 1730) on the one hand and the so called Kutani revival on the second hand (from 1806 up today). For more details please have a look at Kutani History Overview.

This table shows only the main kilns which operated in the Meiji and Taisho periodes.

When kilns have the same color it indicates that these kilns have just changed owner and/or name, but it is actually the same place. However one can imagine that over the time many changes occured including rebuilding or new construction. Juraku kiln is a good exemple as you can still see on the same place ruins of Yoshidaya / Miyamoto kiln, some parts of the Kutani Toki Honsha and the actual kiln.
