Development
table of Kutani kilns
|
| The development of the Kutani kilns shows two periods : The Suizaka and the Ko-Kutani era (1655 - 1730) on the one hand and the so called Kutani revival on the second hand (from 1806 up today). For more details please have a look at Kutani History Overview. |
| This table shows only the main kilns which operated in the Meiji and Taisho periodes. |
| When kilns have the same color it indicates that these kilns have just changed owner and/or name, but it is actually the same place. However one can imagine that over the time many changes occured including rebuilding or new construction. Juraku kiln is a good exemple as you can still see on the same place ruins of Yoshidaya / Miyamoto kiln, some parts of the Kutani Toki Honsha and the actual kiln. |
