I need a little help. I have a small (4 inch high), completely gilded figure of a quail. The base of the figure has the textured bottom, single hole, and impressed seal that I have seen on several Kutani cat figures that have been featured in the well known Schiffer books. The seal is very similar to the others shown in the reference books, but, of course is not exact. Do you have any knowlege of any figures as I have described ever being produced? Is there another source I can use to see if I can find more impressed marks?
