G. Bouvier's Internet Search

These pages are better viewed using Netscape Navigator 4.0 or later.

These are private home pages made by a Kutani lover. It has been established only to promote Kutani ceramics and is an homage to all generations of artists who have developed Kutani ceramics since 350 years. These pages are periodically updated and show parts of a book on Kutani ceramics that I plan to publish some days...

For the frequent visitors check the update corner to see what has been recently modified.

Kutani History | Virtual Museum | Virtual Library | Japanese History | Ishikawa Prefecture History

Kutani ceramics have their origin in a small village in Ishikawa Prefecture. The main city, Kanazawa, is one of the most famous castle towns in Japan. If Kutani ceramics are little known overseas, on the contrary there are very famous in Japan as their are really representative of the Japanese culture. Kutani history is closely linked with the history of Japan and with the development of Ishikawa Prefecture. However who knows where Kanazawa is?

I am always pleased to know about visitors, feel free to send me an  E-mail with your comments.
