Aode style (which means green style) is a generic term covering all green based ceramics produced at the begining of the Kutani kilns. It covers also the Ko-Kutani style.
Yoshidaya is specially famous as it succeeded to reproduce the Ko-Kutani patern. But Yoshidaya kiln operated only during a short period (1824-1831), therefore original pieces from Yoshidaya are rare and very valuable.
This style was and is still so famous that every painter has copied this design. In certain case it is very difficult to recognize orignal Yoshidaya from copies specially for copies made up to Meiji period using similar painting material. Also as the style was popular other kilns like Matsuyama have massively produced up to 1872 copies of Yoshidaya. Copies of Yoshidaya are still popular today.
