Nakamura Chojudo 1909-today
Nakamura Hisataro is born in 1881 In Takaoka city. In 1909 he opened a shop
in Kanazawa city. He was mainly doing wholesale business and was dealing with
big Department stores like Daimaru, Mitsukoshi all over Japan. In 1935 he started
business with Korea. He had established a kiln in Komatsu to produce white pottery
for his own needs, however in case of necessity he bought white pottery from
Tohioka Kosen kiln and Bitoen, and completed ceramics from Miyamoto Shoten in
Sano. Around 1920 he introduced electric kiln and was quite successful.
