Bitoen 1912-today
Bitoen was established in 1912, at that time it was mainly doing painting on white
pottery purchased from the nearby kilns. Bitoen made Kutani style pottery as well
as Imari style. It started after the 2nd world war in 1954 to open its own kiln
and since has progressed steadily. The kiln and shop is still in operation today
in Yamashiro and his managed by the 3rd generation of the Hideo family.
The pottery produced now are signed Bitoen or Eisho.

絵は総て手描で、伝統的な品も作っていますが
自社オリジナルの明るい現代的な作品に特徴があります。
ショ-ル−ムには常時400種類ほどの器がディスプレイされています。
