Traditional Craftsman
Associate member of the Japan Art Crafts Association (Nihon Kogeikai)
He became a disciple of master craftsman, Asami Goro of Kyoto Gojo-zaka, then
he mastered the basic skills of Kyoto ware and kiln.
After he finished learning in Kyoto, he learned the technique of over glazed
decoration from his father (the first Kingyoku) （初代錦玉). At the same time, he
learned Aka-e Hoso-ji (red painting and delicate lettering) from Kitayama Umpei
(北山雲平) of Daishoji and the technique of using gold and full color from Yoshizaki
Tozan (吉崎東山) of Kanazawa. And also he studied under Hasegawa Sojin and the Living
National Treasure, Tokuda Yasokichi. He devotes himself to create his works
by adding his unique modern touches to the traditional painting style.
When His Imperial Highness the Crown Prince and Her Imperial Highness the Crown
Princess visit Kanazawa, he makes the tea sets for them to use.
1988
Won the highest prize in Kutani Ware Craftsmanship Exhibition
1995
Traveled 6000km on the Silk Road to gather material for his art work./ Certified
as a Traditional Craftsman by the Minister of International Trade and Industry
1996
Won the technique prize at Traditional Kutani Ware Exhibition/ Held a private
exhibiton "Silk Road Haruka" at LTCB atrium gallery.
1997
Manufacturing demonstration at Tokyo Mitsukoshi main shop and Yokohama Takashimaya.
1998
Won a prize at International Iro-e Jiki (Polychrome Overglaze Porcelain) Contest/
Accepted for the first time for Exhibition of Japanese Traditional Art Crafts

日本伝統工芸展入選
京都五条坂の陶工浅見五郎助先生に入門、京焼、本窯の基礎を習得する。
京都での修業を終え、父（初代錦玉）に就き、九谷焼の上絵を習う。同時に大聖寺、( kitayama Umpei) 北山雲平 先生に赤絵細字の手ほどきを受け、金沢の吉崎東山
先生 (Yoshizaki tozan) に師事、金彩極彩色の技法を学びつつ、伝統の画風に、更に独自の現代感覚を取り入れ、日夜創作に励む。
宮内庁御用達、日本伝統工芸展等、各種展覧会に出品
