89) Miyagawa Eikichi 宮川 英吉 1867-1936

Miyagawa Eikichi is born in Kamideramachi (上寺町) in Komatsu on December 25th 1967 in a Kaga Han samurai family. Wen he was young he learned pottery painting from Iwanami Gyokusan (岩波 玉山). Then he was invited by Matsumoto Sahei and became chief of Shoundo (松雲堂). He then took the name of Eifuku 1st (初代永福) in 1886.

His style is mainly Ao Kutani and Akae style, but only a few pieces bear a marking. He died on September 1936, he was 68 years old.
